Ozone Therapy

According to Dr. Howard F Robins, the director of The Healing Center in New York, there is hope for RSD Pain Sufferers.  I read a recnet press release where Dr. Robins stated “Using “Direct Intravenous Ozone Therapy” (DIV) combined with lifestyle and natural dietary regimens, many of our patients are finally alleviated of their tortuous pain.”  RSD is an abbreviation for Reflex Sympathetic Dystrophy, which is currently known as Complex Regional Pain Syndrome or CRPS.

For those of you who are not familiar with Ozone Therapy.  Ozone Therapy is a term that describes many practices where they use oxygen, ozone, or hydrogen peroxide and administer it to individuals via a gas or water.  Its purpose is to kill diseased organisms and heal damaged tissues, leading to improved health.

Ozone (O3) is a form of oxygen that is produced when ultraviolet light or electric sparks pass through the air or oxygen resulting in a toxic gas that creates free radicals.  Now this sounds confusing since this is opposite of what we hear when we have heard repeatedly that everyone should take antioxidant vitamins to reverse the damage of free radicals.  However, oxidation in the administering of Ozone Therapy is good when it is used to stimulate the movement of oxygen atoms throughout the bloodstream to the cells and tissue.  With increased oxygen levels in the tissues, harmful organisms along with defective tissue cells die.  This can lead to many healthy benefits and an overall improvement in your immune system.

It is nice to see more articles pertaining to oxygenation and ozone therapy that are helping others, especially when it concerns RSD and its debilitating pain.  The Chi Machine which I first used in 2005, I feel was instrumental in assisting me in managing and diminishing my chronic pain. I believed it worked due to its goldfish like movement which relaxes you and its ability to improve oxygenation throughout the body.  The Sun Ancon Chi Machine was invented by Dr. Inoue, the head of oxygenation in Japan.  Dr. Inoue believed the lack of oxygenation was the cause of many illnesses.
