Safety Tips

  • Keep all essential oils out of the reach of children.
  • Essential oils should be diluted before being used topically.  Undiluted essential oils can cause skin irritations.  Please be aware that essential oils do not dissolve in water and should be mixed with a carrier oil like olive, almond or jojoba oil.  You may also dilute essential oils in bath salts, salves, or soaps. 
  • Essential oils should not be taken internally.
  • Avoid using essential oils during pregnancy.  Some essential oils may be too stimulating.
  • Citrus oils are photosensitive, so if you are using them on your skin avoid exposure to direct sunlight within 4-6 hours of applying.
  • Always patch test a small area of the skin before applying oils in large quantities to your body.
  • If you have a serious health conditions, use caution when using essential oils.  
  • If you get essential oils in your eyes, flush your eyes immediately with milk.
